Deep Sleep

TouchDesigner has an endless amount of possibilities. In this piece, through a process called instancing, I replaced one solid object, a cube, with every pixel of a video in 3D space, and mapped the colour of each pixel onto its own box.

Each box's height follows the value of its colour, with the music as a further influence. I then brought the assets into After Effects to shape this dreamlike piece, largely credited to its beautiful soundtrack by Yusuke Honma.
